Easier speed control than Induction motor. Hence cheaper controller units. Though both Induction and BLDC can be frequency controlled, BLDC can be controlled by PWM voltage regulation also, which requires cheaper hardware than frequency control. Also, the power consumption of BLDC motor is less than induction motors.
